Hurst karate club is based near Reading and offers self defence lessons to anyone who wants to combine moderate exercise with the art of the “empty hand” (which is what karate means in Japanese).

We have separate kids’ and adults’ sessions every Monday and Wednesday evening.

We welcome men or women, young or old, beginners or experienced karateka. Our members range in age from 6 to over 70 and we practice the hard/soft style of martial art called goju ryu karate – focussing on technique rather than strength.

You can find more about our karate school and what to expect by looking round our website.

Or just come along to any Monday or Wednesday session  – no need to ask –  and try us out for free.
